Yuugi's hackles rose immediately, and he did something the Yuugi Mutou Kaiba knew would never do:

He backed up.

Took a defensive stance by the wall.

Even as he laughed, even as he gazed at him cruelly, his gaze was so even, with only a sliver of that Mutou awkwardness.

His eyes, though.

They did not harden.

"Whatever you did..." he huffed out a hollow, humorless laugh. "I can promise I've dealt with worse."

Because that was why he looked at him like that, right?
